LaurenAsh is a writer and producer who blends hip-hop, r&b, and soul throughout lush instrumentation and incredible storytelling. That’s exactly what we’re welcome to on her latest track, and I loved how her vocal delivery matched the somber mood resonating from the progression of the keys. Throughout her verses, she offers different perspectives on the same story in a manner that has the listener quite invested in this romantic fuse. The fact that she’s able to still deliver one hell of a catchy chorus here for me makes this all the more of a fascinating listening experience.
